Unfounded opinion of the day

September 26, 2007

In Iran, we don’t have homosexuals. In Iran we don’t have this phenomenon. I don’t know who has told you we have it

That is Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who spoke at Columbia University earlier this week. If you are trying to be taken seriously as a world leader, this doesn’t seem to be the best way (nor does denying the Holocaust).

On the bright side, we have many people in this country who wished they lived in a land with no gays. Now, we have somewhere to send them. Anyone who does not want to see or hear about homosexuality again can move to Tehran. Everyone wins!
