Does anyone like old people?

September 24, 2007

What could possibly be less relevant than this article? Nothing, which is why I’m posting it.

Contained in this irrelevant article is possibly the most pointless piece of “research” I’ve seen in a while. Keep in mind someone is probably paying this lady to figure this shit out:

Maureen Janowski, director of nutrition resources for Morrison Senior Dining in Atlanta, which provides meals at more than 370 senior living communities, says residents’ food preferences depend somewhat on their age. Those born between 1901 and 1925 generally prefer meat and potatoes, and those born between 1925 and 1942 are “a little more trendy, a little more adventurous, a lot more nutrition-savvy,” she said.

This is the last thing I want, adventurous old people. Whenever geezers get adventurous they end up plowing some 21 foot Lincoln Towncar into an open market full of people.

As ridiculous as these old farts picketing about donuts is, I’m inclined to agree with them. If I’m not dead by 75 I’m just going to smash on pizza and donuts and all sorts of awesome foods until it kills me. I don’t understand this whole “holy shit I’m 80…can’t wait to be 85!” mentality these “health conscious” old people have. Being that old is carte blanch to abuse your digestive system and get the taxpayers to fix it, duh.
