I feel better
September 27, 2007
Turns out the shooting 2 blocks from our apartment was a lover’s quarrel gone wrong, not a random act of violence. That is the preferred situation of the two, and it makes me feel a little safer walking around at night.
“It was a targeted shooting. It was not random,” Graham said. “People can shop safely at Safeway and in our neighborhood.”
Also, I had no idea until a coworker informed me today that handguns are illegal in the District of Columbia. Since 1976, only rifles and shotguns are allowed, and they must be kept unloaded and disassembled. I guess handguns are only for shooting people.
